Privacy Policy

Short version: PLAI collects minimal data. We don't require accounts. We don't sell your data. The only personal information we store is your email address if you voluntarily provide it to save your score.

1. What We Collect

We do not collect: real name, location, device identifiers, browsing history, or any data beyond what is listed above.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

PLAI uses your browser's localStorage to remember your username between sessions. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. The only external services loaded are Google Fonts (for typography) and Font Awesome (for icons) — standard practice for web fonts.

3. How We Use Your Data

Prompts: Used to generate games and, in aggregate, to improve the AI model's quality. We may use prompt + generated manifest pairs as training data for future fine-tuning.
Scores + usernames: Displayed on the public leaderboard in the gallery. If you don't want your score public, don't submit your email/username.
Email: Used only to associate your score with your identity on the leaderboard. We do not send marketing emails. We may send one notification if someone beats your score (only if this feature is enabled).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is not shared with anyone except as required by law.

5. AI Generation

Your game prompts are sent to OpenAI's API to generate game manifests. OpenAI processes this data under their own Privacy Policy. We recommend not including personal or sensitive information in your game prompts.

6. Data Retention

Game logs and scores are retained indefinitely to power the leaderboard. If you would like your email or username removed from our records, contact us and we will delete it within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

PLAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Security

We use reasonable security measures to protect stored data. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Use the Service knowing this inherent risk.

9. Your Rights

You may request deletion of any personal data associated with your email address at any time. Since most interaction with PLAI requires no account, most usage leaves no personally identifiable data beyond what is visible in the public gallery.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page.
